Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to describe propagation of signal in UHF band, design and construct the measuring workplace for measuring the radio signal inside buildings. Through constructed workplace signal attenuation is measured accross three types of barriers, often used in the interior. It is a drywall, wooden board and insulating float glass with metallised coating. Attenuation is measured using a spectrum analyzer network analyzer mode using two-port calibration. The measured values are then compared with the expected outputs from publicly available sources.
