Abstract
Understanding and study of current process of employee education and training, understanding of needs to train from the point of view of the company and employee alike, is critical in terms of development and growth of any chosen company. Results of quantitative research represented by standardized questionnaires were used to describe individual parameters of the system, in order to assess attitude of employees. This method was combined with results from interviews with process holders and representatives of department of human resources (HR).
Data evaluation showed that the training phase of the employees is not ideally executed mainly in the field of requirements of the participants analysis and the contribution of training is not assessed in terms of work productivity. This negatively influences the utilization of the results of education and training for further development of employees and their motivation, as well as fulfillment of strategic goals of the company. Further, inquiries held by interviewing HR representatives reveal that system for planning and registration of personnel education and training is not fully utilized.
In order to eliminate weak spots in the field of determining requirements in training and education from the point of view of the company, as well as employee, suggestions for more effective setting of the training process of the employees were made.
