Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the issue of the employee motivation system in a selected organization. A key objective of the thesis was to objectively assess the employee motivation system using a triangulation of methods. The main methods used in the bachelor’s thesis include the study of organizational documents and publicly available sources of the selected organization, a questionnaire survey, and interviews. The aim of the thesis is to propose and recommend solutions for specific areas of the motivation system based on an objective assessment of the system using the established methods.
The thesis identified several shortcomings that the author assessed as suitable for improvement. The main finding was the placing of inadequate demands on employees relative to the available number of staff on shift. In the long term, this can have a negative impact on employees in the form of exposure to constant stress, which is one of the most common demotivators. In this case, the motivation system loses its significance and plays a very minor role in retaining employees within the organization.
The resulting recommendations and proposals include increasing the number of employees, implementing Shopfloor management, modernizing employee facilities, conducting regular teambuilding activities, and providing training to managers on soft skills.
