Abstract
This diploma thesis aims to predict the future development of an engineering company. The theoretical part introduces the concepts of strategic management, PEST analysis, financial analysis, and the scenario method. The practical part presents an analysis of the external environment, with a focus on the crisis in the steel industry and the shortage of skilled technical labor, as well as a financial analysis of the company, which indicates high indebtedness and low profit margins. The final part formulates four alternative scenarios for future development and proposes specific strategic recommendations for the period 2026–2030.
