Zhodnocení využití digitálních technologií na vybrané základní škole

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of digital technologies at a selected primary school, with an emphasis on their application in teaching and students’ perceptions. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the extent of digital technology use, identify the most frequently used tools, assess students’ attitudes towards their contribution to learning, and evaluate the level of subjective understanding of Informatics and the fulfillment of expected outcomes defined by the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. The theoretical part defines key concepts related to digital technologies in education, characterizes the educational area of Informatics, and highlights the importance of management and implementation of technologies within the school environment. The practical part is based on quantitative research conducted through a questionnaire survey among primary and lower secondary school students. The collected data are analyzed in relation to the defined research questions and hypotheses. The results show that digital technologies are a common part of students’ daily lives, with more intensive use outside the school environment. In teaching, technologies are primarily used as a supportive tool, although there is potential for more active integration. Students generally perceive digital technologies positively, especially in terms of their contribution to learning. In the field of Informatics, it was found that expected outcomes are subjectively fulfilled in most cases, although differences exist across individual thematic areas. Based on the findings, recommendations are proposed to improve the effective use of digital technologies in education, with an emphasis on the role of school management in their systematic implementation and coordination.
