Zvýšení balistické odolnosti školních objektu proti útoku šíleného střelce

Abstract

POVOLNY, Ondrej. Increasing the ballistic resistance of school objects against the attack of a mad shooter. Ostrava, 2021. Diploma thesis. VŠB - TU of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering. Thesis supervisor Ing. Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. The diploma thesis addresses the increase of ballistic resistance of school facilities against attacks by an active shooter led by a short firearm weapon. Ballistic resistance is increased by selected building materials. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the terms ballistics, active shooter, soft targets and there are representative examples of attacks in the world and in the Czech Republic. This section further defines commonly used building materials and describes in more detail selected building materials that have been tested. The practical part describes the course of the experiment and the individual materials are evaluated in terms of their ballistic resistance.
