Vliv příjmové nerovnosti na ekonomický růst

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to find out if income inequality may positive or negative influence economic growth in countries of the OECD. To fulfil this task there are used several practical and theoretical findings of authors who are on a long term basis interested in income inequality or in its influence on economic growth. The aim of the thesis is examined in its own empirical analysis which consists of descriptive, correlative and regressive analysis. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part describes the theory income inequality and economic growth. The second part summarizes the existing empirical research of income inequality and economic growth in the part of research of contemporary empirical studies. In the third part there can be found the empirical analysis of my own which consists of descriptive methods, results of correlative and regressive analysis, . According to results income inequality has a negative influence on economic growth in countries of the OECD. From all the chosen indicators Gini coefficient, gross fixed capital formation and population with tertiary education belong to the most influential.
