Abstract
The work deals with the types of new light armor that are suitable for light armor against small arms weapons. The testing material is a composite polymer Makrolon Hygard. In the theoretical section are summarizes important findings regarding the development of modern armor, ballistic protection research in recent years, and theoretical summary of polymeric materials.
The practical part analyzes the studied material which is measurements of hardness, toughness and pressure module. In the experimental part are tests of ballistic resistance of a material with classic and commonly used weapons by the security forces, even as civilian shooters. Test results are graphically documented and summarized in tables.
