Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the physical protection of a cultural facility comprising a cinema and a library. The aim of the thesis is to assess the current state of the facility’s security, identify the main risks, and propose measures leading to improved safety of persons, property, and operation. The theoretical part defines the legal and normative framework of physical security and the basic components of physical protection. The practical part is based on a case study of a specific facility, a description of the current state of security, and a risk assessment using selected analytical methods. Based on the findings, a set of modernisation measures aimed at eliminating identified weak points.
