Abstract
Nowadays a maintenance in its general level is as the most effective and reasonable tool
in order to minimise operational risks within complex technical systems or key technical
systems of every producing process as well as to secure the operational reliability and safe
service. Most of all we talk about using the basic tools or maintenance tools – a technical
diagnostics and risk analysis. The technical diagnostics and the risk analysis become tools
to discover degradation elements which can cause a state of danger, a failure or an accident
with all their consequences of the service reliability, safety of the operation and the health
protection of the operators and environment. The technical diagnostics and the risk
analysis are not only the tools for maintenance processes of the technical systems and
consequently mentioned service reliability and operational safety, but they support the
human risks during the maintenance activities. The basic aim of the thesis is the processing
of a basic methodological implementation of the maintenance system as the key tool to
control risks and operational safety of the technical systems. The methods could be
introduced to the further assessment. Then, the methodology might be applied on chosen
mining machines for the open pit mines.
