Abstract

Diploma thesis examines the bulbs and fluorescent tubes as a potential initiatory source of fire. There are described ordinary light bulbs and other available types of bulbs, which should completely substitute the ordinary light bulbs in the near future. Thesis also deals with the fluorescent tubes and possible causes of their defects which can also cause a fire. One part of thesis deals with the measurement of the surface temperatures of selected types of bulbs. At the end of the thesis, we can find an evaluation of the acquired knowledge.
