Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of strategic analysis of the selected company. It is dividend into two main parts; the first of which lays the theoretical base, focusing on the most commonly-known theories and methods of strategic analysis. The theory from the first part formed the basis for the second, practical, one, talking about the Hotel Imperial in Ostrava. The goal of the thesis was to find out its market position. Possible solutions for the problems found were suggested. The practical part was based on interviesws with employees, statistics surveys of CZSO, and an analysis of internal hotel documents. Introduction, summary, list of sources and other common parts of scientific works are included, as well as charts and graphs, which komplete the second part.
