Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of development and development tendencies in the insurance markets of the Visegrad Four countries using multicriteria methods. The second chapter is focused on the explanation of concepts, classification of tasks and methods for determining weights and evaluation of variants falling into multicriteria decision-making. The third chapter includes the characteristics of absolute and ratio indicators. Then an analysis of the development of insurance markets of the Visegrad Four countries for the period 2010-2020 is performed on these indicators, based on data from the OECD database. The fourth chapter is focused on the evaluation of the development and development tendencies of the insurance markets of the V4 countries for the observed period and the individual years. First, the weights of the already mentioned indicators are determined, using the Saaty method, and these weights are then used in the application of the weighted sum method. In the end, the final evaluation of the development of insurance markets of the V4 countries is performed.
