Abstract

The theses are devoted to problems of a present possibilities of composts utilization. The aim is determination of possibilities for energetic utilization of compost, which have not quality required by environmental law. The variation of energetical parameters of compost was studied for different grain size of compost. Also the homogeneity of one batch was studied on 12 collected samples. The analysis of energetical parameters of composts was compared with primary material (wood). Primary materials have higher heating capacity than produced compost. During composting the main wood compounds (lignin, celulose) decompose, and humic acid with lower heating value are developed. From the grain size analysis and evaluation of energetic parameters it follows, that the finest grain size bellow 0,16 millimeters have not suitable properties for combustion. The fuel for energetical utilization must have the heating capacity higher than 6 MJ/kg (wet sample). The requested value can be achieved by addition of the material with higher heating capacity (e.g. addition of a plastic material), or by drying of the material with waste heat. The energical ulitization of compost can be applied for materials which do not correspond to Ordinance No. 341/2008 Coll .
