Abstract
The master thesis deals with effect of hydrogen on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V alloy at elevated temperatures. Specimens of Ti6Al4V alloy heat treated in hydrogen or argon atmospheres were submitted to uniaxial compression test at the temperatures of 700 – 800 °C and two strain rates 0.05 and 0.005 1/s on the plastometer Gleeble 3800. It was found, that hydrogen has positive effect on the plasticity of the alloy at high temperatures, stabilizes beta phase and also refines microstructure.
