Abstract
This diploma thesis focuses on the design and construction of a device enabling wireless charging of mobile devices, primarily smartphones, by placing them at any position on the charging surface without the need for precise positioning. The proposed device was built using the body of a decommissioned HP DeskJet multifunction printer and is controlled by a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W computer. The system consists of a Qi-standard charging coil, 28BYJ-48 stepper motors, and a Raspberry Pi AI Camera used for detecting mobile devices on the charging pad. Image processing and device detection are performed using a MobileNet neural network, which is employed to identify the smartphone and determine its position. The functionality of the system was verified through testing on eleven different smartphone models. The obtained results were evaluated in terms of the reliability of mobile device detection and the accuracy of position estimation on the charging surface.
