Abstract

The goal of diploma thesis is analysis of the procedure of mass dismissals of the employees. The theoretical part deals with history of the Labour Code and mass dismissals in terms of the Labour Code. It also describes termination of employment. In this part rights and duties of employees and employers in process of mass dismissals are described. The practical part takes a look at the procedures of mass dismissals of the employees in parent company and its one subsidiary company. Analysis of the procedures in both companies was provided. The results of analysis were compared to each other as well as to the Labour Code. Once comparison have been done there was found out that both companies are following all of the duties determined by the Labour Code. But when the processes have been compared several differences have been found. These differences are in determining competencies, in suggestions for organizational changes and in evaluation of organizational changes. After evaluation the parent company was recommended to unify the processes of mass dismissals. Depending on different organizational structures individual modification of some parts in procedures will be needed.
