Evaluace přínosů evropských fondů na regionální úrovni České republiky v programovém období 2014–2020

Abstract

The European Union's cohesion policy aims to reduce inequalities between regions and support their development with the help of European funds. In the Czech Republic, individual regions are very different, so it is essential to examine how European funds influence their development. This thesis focuses on the connection between EU cohesion policy and regional development in the Czech Republic. The thesis aimed to evaluate the impact of EU funds on the development of individual NUTS 2 regions of the Czech Republic for the 2014–2020 programming period. Based on the analysis of the impact of the European funds, recommendations are formulated in the conclusion, which may contribute to a more effective use of future EU cohesion policy instruments. These recommendations include simplifying conditions, improving access to information, and increasing the system's transparency. These steps should lead to greater regional competitiveness and a better quality of life for citizens, contributing to positive regional development.
