Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on the technology of production of raw axles with an effort to achieve the best possible results in terms of structure and mechanical properties. It examines aspects aimed at improving the resulting quality in the production of railway axles in the company GHH-Bonatrans a.s. The introduction of this work is a description and history of the company. The work studies all operations that have a direct or indirect effect on the quality of the product. The work focuses mainly on the resulting mechanical and structural properties of products. These properties are improved by optimizing the heat treatment and adjusting the chemical composition.
