Abstract
This thesis deals with the design of a substation at the HV/LV level. In the normal hurried practice and with the use of various software tools, many designers forget that there are still various areas that need to be approached somewhat differently than what is ''normally'' necessary. Many times one can come across that designers usually do not calculate anything in this matter and still use the same and often erroneous procedures that are not in accordance with the requirements of the standards and even with technical practice. That's why I decided to present a work on this topic and point out how, from the point of view of standards and legislation, and using specific calculations, to design a complete substation. The work will not particularly closely discuss the principle of transformer function, but instead will focus on the procedure for its design from the point of view of operational requirements.
The task of the topic is to bring closer the procedures that are related not only to normative and legislative ones, but above all to practical knowledge that I have become familiar with during my work experience.
