The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is fire safety in buildings operating child groups. The introduction outlines the possibilities of childcare in the preschool age and identifies their providers. The main part of the thesis deals with the fire safety of child groups, categorization of child groups, and the description of requirements for each category. Furthermore, the thesis examines the risks associated with the operation of child groups. The practical part focuses on the assessment of fire safety in a selected building and recommendations for increasing fire safety in the selected object. The conclusion of the thesis defines §23a of Decree No. 232/2023 Sb.
