Abstract

Labour market and employment policy is part of the economic policies of each state. Employment policy not only at national but also at regional level should help to improve the situation on the labor market. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the state and labor market developments in the microregion Krnov both labor demand and supply-side work and get acquainted with the operation of employment policies in the microregion Krnov further year on year comparison of data related to the labor market in the microregion and outline problems of the labor market arising not only from the economic crisis, and also to outline the proposals and recommendations that could contribute to improving the current state of the labor market in the microregion. The thesis is divided into six chapters, including introduction and conclusion. Theoretical context of the labor market are analyzed in the second chapter and move onto the general definition of the labor market functions in terms of labor demand, labor supply and their mutual balance. The third chapter analyzes the labor market in the microregion Krnov. It describes the general characteristics of microregion labor demand, labor supply and labor market problems outlined in the microregion. The fourth chapter contains employment policy in the region. It also analyzed the role of passive and active employment policy, with the active employment policy is given more space. The fifth chapter deals with proposals and recommendations which should help alleviate the problems of the microregion.
