Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the influence of the opening temperature of sprinkler heads on the temperatures of the selected protected steel structure by means of mathematical modeling. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the theoretical part, the first chapter explains the basic knowledge of fire dynamics within a compartment. The second and third chapter deals with automatic sprinkler system. There is a fourth part in which the reader learns about the properties of steel in terms of structural material. The fifth part briefly describes the models of fire. In the practical part, the selected fire scenarios in the B-RISK and Fire Dynamics Simulator (Pyrosim) program were first defined to determine the influence of the operating temperature of the sprinkler heads. After that, the results of the work are commented and the results of B-RISK and FDS models are compared. Finally, the findings that were achieved during the work are summarized.
