Abstract

The objective of this dissertation is to describe the problematics of television broadcasting via internet protocol, which is very interesting from the point of provision of multimedia digital services. Its second part aims on the physical project of the IPTV wiring, with incorporated reception from ground as well as satelite digital broadcasting. There are particular units of the net described here, which are necessary for the reception of the television signal, its processing, its visual display and delivery to a viewer. The final part concentrates on the alternative solution with the help of a regular PC with freely distributed software, and the comparison with a regular coaxial distribution.
