Thesis, Ostrava: VŠB – Technická Univerzita Ostrava, Fakulta bezpečnostního inženýrství, 2017, 76 The main topic of this thesis are effects of power failure. The electricity transmission network of the Czech Republic is described in the introduction. The aim of the following chapters is the description of blackouts including their causes occurred in foreign countries. The second part is focused on the area of the town of Přerov. Impacts of blackout on the Přerov citizens are evaluated in the conclusion. The aim of this thesis is to propose changes in the Model action plan of large scale disruption in power supply of Přerov as the municipality with extended power, in order to be better prepared for this emergency event that may result in a crisis situation.
