Abstract
In recent years, biometric identification is far more growing field with a increasing number of possible applications. One of the most effective methods of biometric identification is performed by a captured image of the iris texture which is serves as a unique feature of a person. The founder of this method is considered J. Daugman, according to him it was named one of the methods. In introductory chapters, this thesis describes biometric identification in general, individual biometrics and subsequently biometric identification using iris. Followed by the practical part, which has been submited solving methods designed algorithm for image processing iris and implemented in MATLAB. The second half is devoted to the practical part of reliability testing createdd system and clearly describes the respective tables and graphs. The last section summarizes the results.
