Abstract
The thesis deals with the total cost of ownership of cloud and local software solutions platform Dassault Systèmes, the 3D Experience from the point of view of small and medium-sized enterprises. Saving in the total cost of ownership in the case of the choice of the appropriate IT solutions in the context of the current european or global market for small and medium businesses a key issue in maintaining competitiveness. This theme is currently universal across all hardware and software technologies that are applied in the environment of small and medium-sized companies. The objective of this work is the comparison of the total cost of ownership of cloud and local software solutions platform Dassault Systèmes, the 3D Experience on the modelled scenarios based on real business data. The hypothesis of the work is that in the environment of small and medium-sized companies, the cloud solution of the above software platform will always be cheaper. Data for comparison was obtained through a questionnaire investigation about the provider of this software platform. The work can be instructions on how to proceed in the identification and calculation of the total cost of ownership for small and medium company, which intends to implement a particular software application or information system.
