Návrh dopravních opatření u základních škol v Hlučíně

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of traffic measures aimed at increasing safety in the vicinity of a primary school complex on Tyršova Street in the town of Hlučín. The introductory part of the thesis analyzes the current traffic and structural conditions of the area, with an emphasis on detailed mapping of adjacent roads and the identification of critical locations. Subsequently, original traffic surveys focusing on the modal split of commuting pupils and traffic volumes at the intersection in front of the school building are evaluated. The core of the thesis presents a design of three alternative solutions, ranging from low-cost organizational changes in traffic signage to comprehensive structural modifications of the street space. In the final section, the proposed alternatives are compared in detail in terms of their benefits, disadvantages, and estimated financial costs, which serves as a basis for defining the optimal recommendation for implementation.
