Slévárenská jádra z anorganických solí

Abstract

This diploma thesis discusses a basic research of foundry cores from inorganic salts. There is selection of salts NaCl, KCl and composites with silica, chrome, corundum and zircon silicate squeezing by high pressure. Mechanical properties: bending strength when hot and cold. Dissolution kinetics of salt cores, moisture absorption and dilation were studied. The first production of salt cores with a water glass and application of salt in PUR Cold–Box technology were studied. And finally the first tests of their application during production of castings (aluminium alloy and cast iron) were done.
