Abstract

HOMOLOVÁ, Barbora. Evaluation and comparison of ballistic resistence of selected types of protective helmets. [Bachelor thesis]. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, 2020. 63 pages. The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation and comparison of ballistic resistance of selected types of protective helmets. The theoretical part briefly describes ballistics, its individual categories and concepts. In the following practical part, there are characterized two types of used protective helmets, a weapon with ammunition and a ballistic line, where the experiment was conducted. The selected helmets were ballistically verified during the test. The test results are photographically documented and described. At the end of the practical part the whole experiment is evaluated and both protective helmets are compared.
