Thesis, Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, 2019, 63 pages This diploma thesis deals with the fourth industrial revolution and population protection. In the introductory part of the thesis is defined the concept of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0. This section also defines some terms related to the area and introduces the elements that are directly related to Industry 4.0. The next part deals with the protection of the population. It defines some terms and describes individual tasks of population protection. The following part is focused on the interconnection of these areas. The last part is focused on the formulation of new approaches to population protection.
