Zhodnocení financování vybraných politických stran a hnutí

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with financing of selected political parties and movements. The aim is to describe the role of political parties in a democratic society, to characterize the current model of financing and inspection of political parties and movements financial management in the Czech Republic. Moreover, to evaluate the financing and management of selected political parties and movements for the period of years 2013-2017. Five chosen political parties and movements are examined, using methods of analysis, comparison and deduction. The incomes and expenditures of individual political parties and movements are identified and compared using annual financial reports. Above all, the thesis examines the percentage share of the individual items of incomes and expenditures in their total sums. For most parties´ revenue items, state budget revenues outweigh private resources; loans, credits, donations and with inheritance are the highest private sources of financing for the parties. The most significant items of expenditures are election costs for all parties.
