Abstract

Quartz sand is everywhere on our Earth. It is very important element in the nature. Sandpits, beaches, deserts, sports areas, building material etc. There are many places in the nature where the quartz sand has own irreplaceable representation. It is also very important part of enviroment of a lot of animals. But in casting industry is qaurtz sand very important too. In some foundries occur some problems with granulometry. The grains become smaller and smaller during the regeneration form mixture and it can be than problem with permeability of casting forms. Flooded gases in forms etc. This work deals of determination of silica sands inclination for crushing. It was tested six kinds of quartz sands from these lokalities: Haltern from Germany, Grudzen Las and Badger Minnig form Poland, Střeleč and Provodín from Czech Republic and Šajdikovy Humence from Slovakai. By each of them was measured different values.
