Abstract
The master’s thesis focuses on the ergonomic risk assessment and redesign of office workstations. The main objective is to perform a comprehensive evaluation using validated methods such as the VDU Workstation Checklist, an office ergonomic risk assessment survey checklist developed in this study, direct observation and ROSA checklist method, complemented by measurements of environmental factors including lighting, noise, and temperature. The research includes observation of workstation setups and employee behavior during daily tasks. Based on the findings, a risk treatment plan and practical improvements are proposed, including furniture adjustments, layout modifications, and equipment positioning. The thesis also presents the development of a training guide for proper sitting posture and a basic cost–benefit analysis highlighting the positive impact of ergonomic redesign on employee health, comfort, and productivity.
