Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with problems of using GPS systems for tracking vehicles. First chapters present history, present and future of alternative GPS systems. In chapters dedicated to GPS systems is also discussed the issue of the application sphere. In the second part of the work is made the criterial selection of GPS tracking systems used in the Czech Republic and their comparison. In accordance with established criteria is chosen the optimal alternative of system.
