Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on measuring and evaluating the electrical parameters of controllable public lighting systems. The first part discusses the quality of voltage according to the standard ČSN EN 50160. The second part discusses the theory dealing with flicker on electrical equipment. The third part is focused on the requirements for the design and operation of lighting systems. The fourth part is devoted to the control and operation of ballasts used in light emitting diodes. The fifth part discusses the technical condition of the measured polygon of public lighting at the University VŠB Technical collage of Ostrava. The final part is devoted to the evaluation of measured data from the public lighting VŠB-TUO polygon.
