Abstract
The aim of this barchelor thesis was to propose and test the technology of molding
DISA plate casting from ductile iron in the company Arcelor´s Mittal Engineering Products
Ostrava Ltd. Foundry. The technology of molding was optimized and checked in simulation
molding software MAGMASOFT as well as moulding casting. The purpose of the
optimization was to achieve the highest degree of technological use of molten metal
simultaneously with observance of the quality of the casting at the previous casting
technology. Parts of this thesis was the comparison of the economic performance of both
technologies.
