Abstract
The thesis deals with a theoretical research focused on the modification of properties and possibilities of using waste products from the production of natural graphite, usable in industry. The properties of the waste base after flotation of South Bohemian graphites with a large amount of fine ballast silicate, carbonate, sulphide and other minerals were experimentally verified and technological treatments by high-intensity magnetic separation were carried out to reduce mainly iron and titanium minerals.
The main part of the thesis deals with the practical use of waste products from graphite flotation Lazec and Český Krumlov, Městský vrch by model production of tiling materials, sintered coloured ceramics and utility porcelain. It has been shown that in the temperature range of 1 000 °C to 1 250 °C, the waste base obtained after graphite flotation is advantageously industrially exploitable, reduces the production costs of fine grinding of raw materials and, due to the increased content of fusible components, can also address the reduction of energy consumption of manufactured goods.
