Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the Assessment of the Possible Influents of More Stringent EQS for Given Priority Substances on the Wastewater Treatment Operators. The theoretical part covers description of the development of legislation in the field of water policy and revised environmental quality standards. The concentration of selected priority substances in surface waters and wastewater in the selected area and of sewage sludge are included in practical part. The conclusion is given the impact of more stringent EQS on the wastewater treatment operators and methods for removing heavy metals from wastewater.
