The diploma thesis deals with the design of a new building in the site of the vacancies of the former Workers' Colony U Kostela in Ostrava - Mariánské Hory. The thesis describes three possible alternatives to the existing site development and one of them is further elaborated in the form of documentation for the decision on the location of the building. The selected solution proposes the construction of a total of eight separate apartment buildings in the locality, the parking of which is mostly solved by underground parking facilities. The proposal also includes the modification of green areas.
