Abstract

The durability of reinforced concrete structures exposed to aggressive substances such as spreading salts is threatened in the long run by the corrosion of the reinforcement caused by the penetration of chloride ions into the concrete. The master thesis is focused on the creation of a 3D model simulating the penetration of chlorides into concrete. The algorithm used in the Matlab environment, which is compared to the results with the commercial software Ansys Mechanical APDL and Ansys Workbench. Furthermore, model using a time-dependent diffusion coefficient is created and compared to laboratory measurements. Measurement and modeling takes place on 2 types of concrete.
