Abstract
This master’s thesis focuses on ensuring color shade quality during the implementation of a new coating product line. The primary objective is to develop and statistically validate a calibration model for pigment dosing and to assess the reliability of the measurement system. The methodology employs Kubelka-Munk theory and linear regression to process data from an X-Rite spectrophotometer. It includes an analysis of Type A and Type B measurement uncertainties according to the GUM methodology, accounting for operator influence. The result is a functional model enabling accurate recipe prediction and shade correction. The work confirms process stability, minimizes the cost of poor quality, and provides a precise tool for color management in industrial practice.
