Abstract
The thesis deals with programmable logic controllers and new trends in this area, such as safety programmable logic controllers. In this thesis is also introduced a functional design of circuit of emergency stop and emergency shutdown. Then follows the verification of the functionality of this linkage and evaluation of results.
