Abstract

The presented diploma thesis deals with virtual instrumentation and remote control of measurement instruments. The main purpose of this work is choosing the appropriate instruments for designing and creating a simulation in the instruments themselves and also the communication with them. The thesis is divided into several parts. The introductory theoretical part is followed by a practical part that intends to choose the appropriate instruments and define their character. Furthermore, the work deals with creating the instruments themselves and their commands by which the instruments will be operated. The final part of the practical section is intended to create instruments’ drivers that serve as a simplification of formation of the applications for long-term operation of simulated instruments. The resultant application is, along with instrument’s drivers, in the final part tested and the used solutions are evaluated.
