Monitoring volně žijících ptáků na území zoologické zahrady v Ostravě

Abstract

This diploma thesis is an analysis of the number of songbirds and laid clutches in birdhouses existing in the Ostrava Zoological Garden in 2016. The monitoring of birdhouses took place from early April to early July. The songbirds existing in the birdhouses were mainly the Great Tit (Parus major), Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus), Eurasian Nuthatch (Sitta europaea), Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) and Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis). This thesis compared statistical results between the years 2014 and 2015. This diploma thesis should supplement data for the purpose of further monitoring during subsequent years and compare previously obtained data.
