Abstract

My thesis deals with the reflection of communistic normalization in the TV serials produced by the Czech Television during later period 1971-1980. I tried to describe this issue as objectively as possible. The first part focuses on the theoretical and historical concept of the Czechoslovakia. It is divided into three parts: the political, economical and the social part. I described the political changes that occurred after 1968. In this political situation the Czech society was supposed to return to the so – called “normal”. The second part focuses on successes and failures of the Czechoslovak economy. Last part of the third chapter describes the social changes that the Communist Party introduced during normalization. The second chapter is focused on the media during the upcoming normalization. It reflects the changes that had an impact on print, television and radio. In this chapter I describe the meaning of the changes. The last chapter is the analysis of the contemporary Czech Television programmes during the period 1971-1980. I focused how was the normalization appearing in the production.
