Abstract

The aim of the master thesis is to point out the possible causes of failure of vertical brick structures, carried out by traditional procedure.

The beginning of master thesis divides the vertical brick constructions and defines the basic requirements for construction. There is processed the issue of defects and failures of brick structures, including their causes . The end of theoretical part deals with the exploration of structures and diagnostic methods.

The experimental part is focused on a selected object, for which there is a fault detection of vertical brick structures. In addition, physico-mechanical features are tested on the samples of brick elements, which are then compared with the features of new bricks.
