Využití ultrafialového a ionizujícího záření k ošetření potravin

Abstract

The subject of this bachelor thesis is treating food by using ultraviolet (UV) radiation or ionizing radiation. First theoretical part focuses on general related concepts and basic physical properties of electromagnetic (EM) radiation, UV radiation and ionizing radiation. As bacteria and mold are experimented with, they are also briefly described. The last theoretical chapter is about food treatment. The main purpose of this thesis is a practical section with two experiments, where ionizing and UV radiation were used to treat food and the resulting conclusion about which method is suitable.
