Abstract

The master thesis deals with the problematic of the clusters in the Czech Republic´s regions. The aim of this work is to analyse and evaluate the success of the clusters in drawing financial resources from the EU structural funds during the years 2007-2013 with the focus on individual regions of the Czech Republic. According to the available information, it was found that 79 clusters exist in the Czech Republic. During the years 2007-2013 25 clusters received grant from the EU funds under the Operational program Enterprise and Innovation for a total of 41 completed projects. The highest subsidies from the EU gained clusters in the South Moravian Region. The clusters in Moravian Silesian region realized the largest number of projects co-financed from EU. During the previous program period were announced three calls in support of clusters, within which were earmarked subsidies from the EU in the amount of CZK 2 250 million. Subsidies that the cluster was actually granted were halved.
