Abstract

The aim of my thesis is to analyze and compare reasons of idle times caused by insufficient cooling of sinter at sinter plants North and South in company ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.. Idle times caused by insufficient cooling are resulting in reducing of production and violating continuity of production process. In the beginning of this thesis I have described equipment of individual sinter plants and technologies of sintering and sinter cooling. Sintering process is the same in both sinter plants. Technological equipment for production and cooling is already differentiating, what I described in detail in individual chapters. In the end I performed the analysis of reasons, which are causing idle times in sinter cooling and proposed solution for their elimination and subsequent increase of sinter production.
